The Way, the Truth, and the Life
The Way, the Truth, and the Life is the culmination of a year and a half of work exploring the traditionalist movement in the Catholic Church. The work follows my own journey to understand what it is that draws so many to a more traditional expression of the Catholic faith. What I discovered is that beyond the liturgical wars, reactionary politics, and fatigue from modernity lies a profound longing for transcendence for those trapped in a world of suffocating immanence.
I produced and defended these photos and a 60-image book for my master's thesis at the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, and it has also appeared in a National Geographic article here, alongside an article by Matthew Teague.
