Fr Gerry

Fr Gerry Waterman is a friar-priest of the Franciscan order and chaplain of Syracuse University’s Catholic center. He is a beloved pillar of the catholic community on campus amongst both students as well as university faculty and staff, and is known for his passionate and welcoming personality. A lover of good food, great company, morning runs, and the beach, Fr Gerry has made Syracuse his home over the last six years after his order’s provincial moved him to Central New York from North Carolina’s Elon University. Though he still doesn’t love the cold and cloudy days, he has taken to the SU chaplaincy with the love and wisdom fitting of a Franciscan and is grateful to serve the university community.
